About this policy
Illawarra Epoxy Flooring is an enquiry service operated by Top Gong Digital Marketing, ABN 75 486 317 153 (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through illawarraepoxyflooring.com.au, and how you can access or correct it or make a complaint.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you request a quote, we collect:
- your name, phone number and suburb or postcode, and the type of floor (required)
- anything else you choose to give us, such as your email address, the approximate floor area, a description of the floor, photos and your preferred contact time
- information about the enquiry itself: the page you sent it from, the date and time, your IP address and browser details, and any campaign codes in the web address (such as utm_source or gclid) that show how you found the site
Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health information, in the form. Photos should show the floor only. If you would rather not give us your name, you can browse the site anonymously, but we need a name and phone number to arrange a quote.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you, through the quote form or when you email us. Our website also records basic technical information automatically, as described above and in the Cookies and analytics section.
Why we collect it and how we use it
- to pass your enquiry to an independent local contractor so they can contact you about a quote
- to send you a copy of your enquiry if you give us your email address
- to respond to questions or complaints
- to understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries, so we can improve the site
- to detect and prevent spam and misuse of the form
We do not use your details to send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
Independent contractors. When you send the form and tick the consent box, you agree that we may share your details with an independent local contractor so they can contact you about a quote. We share each enquiry with one contractor. The contractor handles your information under their own privacy obligations, and any contract for work is between you and them.
Service providers. We use providers for website hosting, email delivery, security and, if used, analytics. They handle information only to provide those services to us.
As required by law. We may disclose information where the law requires or authorises it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, such as email, analytics or security providers, may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it appropriately.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work and stay secure. We also use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site, for example which pages lead to quote requests. These tools collect information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How we store and protect it
Enquiries are stored in our website’s database and email account, which are protected by access controls, security software and encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Only people who need to handle enquiries can access them. We keep enquiries for up to two years so we can follow up and deal with any questions, then delete or de-identify them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@illawarraepoxyflooring.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why.
Changing your mind
If you no longer want to be contacted about your enquiry, email hello@illawarraepoxyflooring.com.au and we will stop sharing it and let the contractor know. Information the contractor already holds is managed by them, and you can also contact them directly.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@illawarraepoxyflooring.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, including if a different contractor or service provider starts handling enquiries. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
